Interesting article from CRM Buyer which suggests that in addition to quality of life and productivity benefits, telework has critical implications for the federal government’s efforts toward recruiting and retaining the best and brightest, conserving energy and gasoline, as well as realizing robust business continuity preparedness.
According to the Washington Post, a growing number of employees are staying away from the office. At last count, 140,694 federal employees worked at home or at a telework center last year.
While having coffee this morning with Don Curry the topic of telework came up. I told Don I thought telework could play an important role in the wellbeing of Northern Ontario. I also mentioned that I wanted to do a better job of getting the message out. And so NorthernTelework.ca was born.
