Canadian Internet Service Landscape

The Inukshuk network is a Canada-wide broadband service that uses WiMAX technology. The advantage of WiMAX is its ability to send data wirelessly over long distances, meaning better and faster Internet access to rural and remote parts of the country. WiMAX is currently offered in 124 Canadian cities and is still expanding. Bell’s WiMAX service starts at $65/month, and Rogers is also offering WiMAX starting at $49.95 per month, not including installation and modem rental fees.
