Like it or not, more federal workers telecommuting

Boosting the ranks of federal employees who telework is a slow, sometimes painful process, despite numerous incentives and legislative edicts lobbed at U.S. agencies over the years.

Take the situation at the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), which last month was ordered by a federal arbitration panel to allow its legal instrument examiners to telework on a pilot basis.

Why don’t we do something similar in Ontario and legislate a small percentage of governments jobs as telework jobs for Northern Ontario communities.  Steve

Not long ago, in a meeting with Microsoft product managers, I saw some research on how most users of productivity applications use only a tiny fraction of the features available to them. In addition to that fact, many people shell out big bucks for expensive courses and books on the applications that they use most. You can beat all these problems, though, if you spend some time looking into the best application tutorials online. Many of them are very visual, and give you the opportunity to experiment with the lessons within the lessons themselves.
