The notion of a high-speed rail link between Windsor and Quebec City is far from fanciful and is growing more and more feasible in an era of increased telecommuting, greener sensibilities and skyrocketing fuel prices.
Technology is a factor in enabling the Ontario government to meet their green targets, but behaviour and mindset also plays a role, according to associate deputy minister Hugh MacLeod.
“This is a transformational change for which new conversations and new partners are required,” said MacLeod yesterday at a Green Technologies town hall meeting hosted by the Office of the Corporate Chief Technology Officer. MacLeod is the newly appointed ADM to the Premier on the issue of Climate Change.
